What does Soy Isoflavone contain and how does it work
The product contains standardized soy extract with a high isoflavone content – a group of bioactive plant compounds classified as phytoestrogens. This means they have the ability to interact with estrogen receptors in the human body, albeit with weaker effects compared to natural estrogens produced by the body.
The isoflavones present in soy are primarily genistein, daidzein, and glycitein. The most active among them – genistein and daidzein – are absorbed in the small intestine and undergo liver transformation, after which they participate in hormonal regulation. They bind to alpha and beta estrogen receptors, with a modulatory effect – that is, they do not simply increase or decrease hormonal activity but balance it according to the body's needs.
This adaptogenic role makes them particularly useful during periods of hormonal deficiency (such as menopause), when estrogen levels drop dramatically, as well as during other hormonal fluctuations, for example, around the menstrual cycle. In addition to hormonal activity, these compounds have proven antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, meaning they protect cells from oxidative stress, support normal immune function, and assist in maintaining normal vascular wall function.
What issues does the supplement address
The female body undergoes significant changes with age. Menopause is a natural process, but its symptoms can be physically and mentally exhausting. Hot flashes, night sweats, sudden mood changes, lack of concentration, decreased libido – all of these are the result of a sharp decline in estrogen levels. Additionally, there is a loss of bone mass, worsening metabolism, and an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases.
- Soy isoflavones act as natural hormonal replacement, without the side effects of synthetic hormone therapies. They do not artificially stimulate the body to produce hormones, but simply supplement weak estrogenic activity when needed or neutralize it if there is an excess. This bidirectional effect – adaptability according to context – is key to the safety of phytoestrogens.
- Bone density in women begins to decrease around the age of 35, with the process accelerating significantly after menopause. Estrogen plays an important role in building bone tissue, so its reduction leads to osteoporosis. Isoflavones help retain calcium in bones by activating receptors in osteoblasts – the cells that build new bone.
- Cardiovascular benefits of soy isoflavones are due to their beneficial influence on the lipid profile – lowering “bad” LDL cholesterol and triglycerides while slightly increasing “good” HDL cholesterol. This reduces the risk of arterial stiffness and heart incidents. Additionally, isoflavones help maintain vascular wall elasticity, which is extremely important for women over 45-50 years.
- On a psycho-emotional level, the supplement supports mental resilience, as hormonal fluctuations often lead to feelings of anxiety, sadness, nervousness, and irritability. Taking Soy Isoflavone creates a sense of stability without the need for synthetic medications. Women going through menopause often describe the effect as “easier passage through the storm” – symptoms weaken, and daily functioning improves.
