Azelaic acid is a naturally occurring acid found in grains such as barley, wheat, and rye. It has strong antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, making it effective in treating various skin conditions.
Azelaic acid works by:
- Clearing pores of bacteria that may cause inflammation, rashes, or acne;
- Reducing inflammation, making blemishes, redness, and skin irritations less visible;
